Saturday, NOVEMBER 15th will mark a first in VAULT OF MIDNIGHT history as we have two creators visiting both our stores on the same day! Can you feel the love?

In promotion of their new series TALES OF MR. RHEE: "Karmageddon" from DEVIL'S DUE PUBLISHING, series writer/creator DIRK MANNING and artist SETH DAMOOSE will be signing comics, kissing hands and shaking babies (or something like that) at VoM: GRAND RAPIDS from Noon until 2:00, and then at VoM: ANN ARBOR from 6:00 until 8:00!

You may also know Dirk Manning as the writer of NIGHTMARE WORLD (Image), WRITE OR WRONG: A WRITER'S GUIDE TO CREATING COMICS (Caliber), and his run on THE LEGEND OF OZ: THE WICKED WEST (Big Dog Ink) and Seth  Damoose as the artist on such other Image titles as XENOHOLICS, BOMB QUEEN and NIGHTMARE WORLD.

They're both really cool cats, so c'mon out and support them helping us make VoM history on November 15th!

It's time again to wear your Halloween best to the Vault of Midnight and enter our costume contest! This year...we've expanded the event and are having a youth contest, too! Any time during the week of October 26 until October 31 bring yourself by and let us take your photo. Once we have all the entries, our panel of esteemed judges will make the always impossible decision of choosing a winner.

Prizes will be -

Age 13+
Adult First Place: $50 gift card
Adult Runner Up: $25 gift card

Age 12 and under
Youth First Place: $20 gift card
Youth Runner Up: $10 gift card

If you are chosen as a winner, you will also receive a lovely ribbon, just like at the county fair for your beautifully raised prize hog!

DOGS! An anthology of Comics on our Canine Companions Release Party!

This collection of comics was conceived after a series of meandering conversations with artists in India and the US revealed a shared admiration for dogs, as well as a collective desire to explore what the world would like from the other end of a snout. In this collection, you will encounter dogs that are post-apocalyptic, self-reflective, murderous, environmentally-conscious – and much more!

Come on out to Vault of Midnight on Friday, October 24th and meet creators Jeremy Stoll, Cristina Mezuk, and Patrick Goussy! The evening will begin with a brief introduction by Stoll, a researcher of India’s comics culture, followed by a chat about their stories by Mezuk, Goussy, and Stoll. Questions & conversation will be welcome, and book signing will follow. 

DOGS! is the result of an international collaboration between Captain Bijli Comics in New Delhi and Great Bear Comics in Michigan, along with many fantastic creators in India and the United States. All proceeds from the US edition go to Last Day Dog Rescue, a volunteer-run no-kill rescue that focuses on rescuing dogs from the “Urgent” list across lower Michigan and parts of Ohio.

The brand new, and awesome, release of Oddly Normal from Image Comics! This is an all ages comic about a ten year old half-witch trying to figure out the foibles of life and the mysterious disappearance of her parents. This dynamo of a man is signing at BOTH Vaults in ONE day! Can you believe it?! So, be sure to come by and meet the creator of the series, Otis Frampton.

Warren Commission with Dan Mishkin and Jerzy Drozd!

Within days of the murder of President John F Kennedy, Lyndon B Johnson appointed a seven-member commission to investigate the assassination. In it's report, the Warren Commission determined that there was "no credible evidence" conflicting with it's conclusion of a lone gunman. 

Writer Dan Mishkin and artist Jerzy Drozd will discuss the making of their new comic book documentary that investigates the Warren Commission report, followed by Q&A and book signing.

International TableTop Day is returning to the Vault! 

Swing by on Saturday, April 5th at 12:00pm to roll dice and play cards till you can't lift your arms anymore!

There will be prizes and raffles, maybe even some delicious treats...
