Covers: A celebration of the power of reading and writing! A benefit to help kids continue to read and write! A dance party that just won't stop (till 2in the am.)

Come enjoy a night of art and writing in the, extremely classy, Vault Ultralounge. Together we will celebrate the uniting power of literature in all its forms.

Local artists will be re-imaging covers of their favorite novels, poems, comics, etc! Local writers will share their thoughts on the power of storytelling. And, local djs will totally keep it real and get our booty's shaking!

All benefits from the show will go to 826michigan, an Ann Arbor organization which helps children develop essential reading and writing skills and is just generally awesome.
Cost is sliding scale $3-7 (you can always pay more! it's a benefit!) There will be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction!

Cheap Laffs Art Show! 10/15/11

CHEAP LAFFS ART SHOW! Come to the Vault Ultralounge and see and purchase original art from your favorite comic, CHEAP LAFFS, by creators Nate Higley and Tavi Lux Veraldi!

This art show doubles as the release party for CHEAP LAFFS #3, which includes a special treat- a MAKE BABIES OR DIE TRYING 7" flexi disc from our friends at ARBCO Records! Flexi disc includes music by Bitchcopter, Scissor Now!, Baron Knoxburry, Wolfie Complex, and Suicide By Cop.

Stay and listen to the LIVE music of Nickie P. and TBA. Music starts at 11pm. Soundtrack for the evening provided by Dick Jones.

Limited edition merchandise will also be available for purchase.

Snacks will be provided. $3 donation at the door. 18+ only (sorry kids!) See you all there!
